The 3rd FTMB Conference

The 3rd FTMB (Forest Tree Molecular Biology and Biotechnology) Conference, sponsored by the Northeast Forestry University, will be held from August 4th to 6th, 2025 in Harbin, China. The Conference will primarily be in-person but speakers outside of China may participate virtually. The 1st FTMB Conference was held in July 2018 and the 2nd, held in conjunction with the 20th IUFRO Tree Biotech, in July 2022, both in Harbin, China, with a total of nearly 1,000 delegates from 35 countries.

The 3rd FTMB will continue to highlight the latest and innovative findings as well as breakthrough ideas and technologies in areas of forest biotechnology, with an emphasis on technology application. The Conference theme is Advancing Forest Biotechnology from Lab to Field. The topics include CRISPR-Based Genome and Epigenome Editing for Forest Tree Breeding; Single-cell and Spatial Multiomics for Tree Growth and Development; Molecular Mechanisms for Enhancing Tree Growth Efficiency and Resilience; Evolution of Woody Plants and Tree Adaptation to Climate Changes; Molecular Mechanisms of Wood Formation and Bioengineering; Genomic Variation in Breeding and Genetic Studies; AI and Robotics Prospect for Forest Biotechnology.
